The growth of the maize:
Maize plants grow very tall, they may be 4 metres or more high.
The growth of maize is divided into two groups, vegetative and
reproductive.
The vegetative growth
of corn includes the
stalk, leaves, roots and
tassel.
When the corn has
grown tall, it tries to
reproduce itself, which
is called the
reproductive stage. It
grows ears of corn.
All those little yellow
kernels of corn are
actually seeds, and
each of them is going
to grow into a new
corn plant.
