An initiative to create awareness in the
children and their parents about the
environment and the need to
recycle waste, reduce wastage and
reuse all resources
This thematic exhibition on recycling
of materials had exhibits created by
using wastepaper, packagingmaterials,
cartons, bottle caps, among other
things sent in by parents from their
homes. The origin of river Ganga, in
the Himalayas, its swirling flow
through
cities: Haridwar, Kashi,
Kolkata to join the Bay of Bengal,
had been meticulously depicted in
detail .

Planting of trees
was encouraged in
school to create
awareness about the
importance of trees
in reducing Global
Warming as trees
breathe in carbondioxide & give out
oxygen.
The school has also created a
small herbarium in its grounds to
show how everyday herbs and
spices
can be used to create cures and
herbal medicines for holistic and
healthy living.

Concern for the Environment
What are the trees around
your school or neighborhood?
 Some trees around Boulder include Blue Spruce,
Aspens( as shown), Ponderosa Pine,Gambel Oak, and
Douglas Fir.
How do trees help in reducing
global warming?
 The trees take C02 out of
the air that we breath.
They take in C02 and
breath out air.
What the students do to create
awareness of global warming?
•We have some upper and
middle school programs, such
as Dawson Earth Workshop (
DEW) and Eno, which plants
trees every year on our campus.
And in science we learn about
the atmosphere and global
warming.
