Biomes
A group of ecosystems with similar
climates and organisms.
Tropical Rain Forest
• 125-600 cm of rain a year (a lot)
• 20-34 degrees Celsius (68-93)F
Tropical Rain Forest
• Most abundant life on
Earth.
• Plants: Kapok tree,
Durian
• Animals: monkey,
cobra, insects, insects,
and more insects
Temperate Rain Forest
• Lots of rain too: 300 cm a year
• Temperature is more moderaterarely
above 27 Celsius
Temperate Rain Forest
• Plants: redwood tree,
cedar tree, douglas fir
• Animals: deer,
squirrel, otter, elk,
bird, etc
Desert
• Very little rain: less than 25 cm a year
• Temperature varieshot in the day, cold at
night

• Plants: Joshua Tree,
low lying shrubs,
saguro cactus
• Animals: gila
monster, sidewinder,
other animals adapted
to dry
Grasslands
• Rainfall: 25-75 cm per year
• Savannas are grasslands near the equator
and they can get as much as 125 cm a year
• Temperature: very hot seasons and then
cooler seasons

• This is what we live in.
