The American black bear, like most bears, lacks the
distinctive shoulder hump that the grizzle bear has.
They have round ears, a short stubby tail and short
claws that are useful for climbing trees.
The males do not help raise the cubs, but leave to
mate again like most other bear species.

An owl looks like a bird with a flat face and the eyes are in
front of its head rather than the side of its head.
Owls live in most regions of the world making shelter in
caves.
Owls mostly eat mice and rats but sometimes eat bigger prey
and use their sharp claws to rip them apart.

A European red squirrel looks like a smaller version of
the more common gray squirrel except it’s fur is red
instead of gray.
A European red squirrel lives in the European
Deciduous Forest.
A red squirrel mostly eats nuts, acorns, hazelnuts and
beech flowers. The European red squirrel is prey to
Eurasion wild cats.

Ants live in big nests that they create in a shady place for
protection.
Ants eat leaves that they carry from trees or plants. They
eat other things such as fruit and seeds. Ants are
herbivores. They like to eat plants and fruit.

The tawny milkap mushroom looks like a orange and
brown upside-down umbrella.
This mushroom lives in the European deciduous
forests.
The mushroom is a decomposer and eats the chemicals
off dead organisms. Humans eat this mushroom.

The fur of the White Tailed Deer is a grayish color in
the winter.

of the Northeast and Midwest of the United States.

the balance of that place.
