Willows can grow from small shrubs to 30 foot trees.
They grow long slender leaves that can either have two
smooth sides or one side can have a felty underside.
Willow grow male and female parts on
different plants. The male stamens are small,
fuzzy, “pussy willows” that release golden
pollen in the spring.

Willows grow mostly in Northern temperate
climates. They are usually found In North
America and Europe, but range as far as
Mexico and Asia.

The willow represents many different
things in different cultures. It can
symbolize sorrow and mourning from
the weeping willow. Many think of it as
