Minerals
Vinnytsia region - is a land with rich mineral resource base. In
its interior is open 445 deposits and occurrences of 18 species
of various minerals, dozens of peat deposits, as well as unique
deposits of granite, kaolin, garnet and fluorite.
Vinnytsia region has large deposits of primary kaolin, which
constitute 30.41% of the total in Ukraine. Glukhovtsy Mining
factory produces nearly a third of kaolin in the state.
In the region there are only garnets in Europe. Unique
decorative properties of Vinnytsia granites, events, vinnitsitov,
charnockites allow to produce one stone, veneer, window sills,
monuments.
Granite area is business responded to more than 100
years.
Our region is the only in Ukraine, where there are large
reserves of pelikanit. Bauxite was found for the first time in the
region - the ore, rich in aluminum. According to geologists,
estimated resources of bauxite are about 3 million tonnes.
