 You will publish your news report article in a nice layout.
 Make sure your writing is clear and legible.
 Key vocabulary words should be underlined/highlighted.

News paper articles!!
 You will be reading news paper articles from your classmates.
 You will be asked to get in groups of four. Your group will be
given a set # of newspaper articles. For each article you read you
will answer the following in your spiral in English:
Who? What? Where? When? Why? And How?
As a group decide which article was the most interesting so that we
can read it together as a class.
Identifying Verbs
A) Read the comic in the next slide and identify the verbs. Label
them as imperfect, preterit, or present
B) Then write a sentence using the same verb- in the same tense
and one of our key vocabulary words.

Today you will be using the computer search engines to look for news
in Spanish Speaking world or current events.
You will look for 3 current events in different Spanish speaking
countries: google search “news from _____”
1.
Find an interesting news report from that country.
2.
Answer the 5 w’s(who, what, where, when, why) and How in
English.
3.
Clip a picture of the news report and any caption that relates to
the news.
4.
Write a short 3 sentence description of what happened in
Spanish.
Where: Argentina
Who: A woman called “Barbie
Bandit”
What: The police thought that she
stole from rich houses but there was
no evidence to show that she did
anything wrong.
When: January 21, 2016
Why: She was thought to be a
member of a gang.
How: She was at the place of the
arrest at the wrong time. Her
boyfriend was the thief.
Español: Los policias acusaron a la mujer
de robar. Su novio fue el que robó. La
mujer no fue a la carcel.

Use each of the above verbs in the imperfect tense
with another verb in the preterite form interrupting
that action(cuando, de repente) or explaining the
state of being (porque).
Example: Estaba triste porque oí malas noticias. 

Sentences using oir, leer, creer, and destruir.
Write 1 sentences using each verb in the preterite
tense. (4 sentences total)
-Use different subject pronouns!!

 Watch the video and keep notes on what is happening. You
will have to complete a summary in Spanish of the story.
Ex. Había una vez una bruja. Ella quería....
Manejaba/Caminaba por el bosque...buscaba...etc.
Going back to the Bruja
Have a partner read your summary and underline all the verbs.
You will both create a T chart to identify each verb as preterite
or imperfect from both of your summaries.
-Next to each verb-write down it’s infinitive form.
