Web 2.0 is a term that refers to the concept
that the latest incarnation of the web involves
self-publication
Everyone can have a worldwide audience

Founded in February, 2005
Leader in user-submitted online videos
Videos are available for every imaginable
topic.
Your students are not only aware of YouTube,
many surf it, and others are submitting videos.
So Why Not YouTube?
Use it, but use it with caution!
Have students submit videos to you first,
then you can upload them.
If looking for content, be aware that many
schools block YouTube... but there is an
alternative.
TeacherTube!
TeacherTube launched in March, 2007 as a
safer alternative to YouTube.
The content is still user-submitted, but the goal
is not a vast collection of videos with wideranging subject matter.
The goal is a vast collection of educational
videos
Upload, tag and share videos worldwide.
