and long term effects of smoking
cigarettes, cigars or pipes and the effects
of smokeless tobacco products and
demonstrate peer pressure refusal
techniques in tobacco related situations.

AGENDA
• Introduce Chapter 11-7 ThreeDimensional figures and 11-8 Drawing
Three Dimensional figures.
• Look at Brain Pop on Area of
Polygons.
• Introduce the activities:
• Dying to Visit Tobacco World – 15 min
• Tobacco Products and Their Effects – 20
min.
• Be Smart-Don’t Start – 10 min
•Get out a sheet of paper and make
Cornell Notes titled “Mixed
Numbers and Improper Fractions”.
• You will see a Brain Pop on
Improper Fractions.
• Work with study buddy.
DO NOW ACTIVITY
• Do the warm up problems on the
blackboard on Chapter 11-7 and 11-8.
• Get your Cornell notes out or your
foldable and take notes on Monday.
• Open up workbook and review pages 7.
• Look at tobacco product samples.
• Posters, pamphlets and other lesson
enhancers.
• Get out a sheet of paper and find
out five interesting things about the
person next to you. You will do an
presentation on your “Study
Buddy”.
HOMEWORK
• Do problems 1-29 page 605 to 606.
• Do problems 1-35 page 610 to 612.
• Make a power point presentation on
why you should not smoke cigarettes or
use tobacco products.
Do Lesson 2-2 “Mixed Numbers
and Improper Fractions”
on page 41 to 49.
TEST
Test will be the on-line test for
Chapter 11-7 on laptops.
• Your test will be Lesson 6. Click on the
Too Good for drugs tab and write down
the question and answer. You can copy
and paste test in your folder.
•Your Test will be on your
workbook in lesson 2-2.
EXTRA CREDIT
Make the foldable on page 570. Label
on side with lesson 11-7 and 11-8.
Take notes on this foldable and show
on Thursday complete with Standard,
Vocabulary, and notes.
Show your power point presentation on
why you should not smoke cigarettes or
use tobacco products.
•Make a chart showing Improper
fractions. Use your base ten blocks
to make examples.
