The Ethics on Indoctrination
By Emily Joselyn
What are Ethics?


Ethics are what you believe to be right or wrong in
certain situations (Situational Ethics)
There are several different types of Ethics each
falling into its own category
Different Kinds of Ethics

Examples:

Descriptive

Situational

Meta-ethics

Normative

Applied

Moral Psychology
What is Indoctrination?

When someone persuades/teaches someone else
their own personal opinions.

They try to make you accept what they believe
is right.

In most cases it is on subjects that are normally
taught by parents.
Types of Indoctrination

Religious

Secular

Military

Homosexual

Racial
Is it Ethical?



Is it ethical to teach others of your opinions?
Is it ethical that school teachers inform kids of
their own personal beliefs?
Is it ethical for schools to teach homosexuality,
religion, military views, or secular views to the
kids?
I would...

If it were up to me, I would make schools be there
for one purpose:


To teach subjects like math, english, science,
history, etc.
If I could choose, I would not allow teachers to
tell kids what to believe or how to think.

I would make it law that no teacher is allowed to
indoctrinate.
It is unethical...


It's not right for teachers (or anyone, for that matter)
to tell people how to think.
I believe the youth is often taken advantage of
because they normally aren't sure of their personal
views.

This needs to stop because it is completely unethical
and immoral.
