You can launch TEdit to
view thermo datasets.
From GWB apps,
File → View →
…\thermo.tdat
GWB’s
default
dataset.
From TEdit,
File → Open → Thermo
Data… → …\thermo.tdat
From Windows explorer,
double-click the file
The Header
section describes
the dataset.
Set the principal temperatures
and activity coefficient terms
in the Tables section
All species are composed
from the Elements.
The Basis species are
the building blocks.
Redox couples, Aqueous species,
Minerals, and Gases are formed by
reaction between existing species
and have an associated log K.
Fill in the template to add the
elements, species, etc. that you
need in your thermo dataset.
Right click
→ add
Enter the new element’s
name, symbol, and molecular
weight, then click Apply.
You can use TEdit to copy entries from one thermo
dataset (the source) into another (the target).
Open both datasets in TEdit and
select the entry you’d like to copy.
You can rebalance reactions and
automatically recalculate log Ks.
Right click
→ add
Supply reaction and log Ks in
terms of arbitrary set of species.
Automatically recast reaction in
terms of Basis or Redox species.
Final reaction as it will appear
in thermo data → Apply
You can exchange the position of
Basis, Redox, and Aqueous
species in a thermo dataset.
Exchange the positions of basis species
O2(aq) and redox species H2(aq).
H2(aq) is the new redox pivot, and
O2(aq) becomes a redox species.
All affected reactions are
automatically rebalanced.
