What is the digestive system
• The digestive system is the system that works
with your food. It takes about 6-7 hours to
make your food into poop. Lets talk about the
parts in the digestive system shall we…..

Teeth
• The teeth grinds, chews, tears and cuts the
food we eat. There are 4 types of teeth.
Canines , incisor ,molars and pre molars. See
more information next slide.
Teeth part2
• Incisors teeth job is to cut or bite the food.
There are 8 incisor teeth in your teeth.
Canines teeth job are to tear the food. There
are 4 canine teeth in your teeth. Pre molars
teeth job is to grind the food. There are 8 pre
molar teeth in your teeth. Molars teeth chew
the food. There are 8 molar teeth in your
teeth.
Esophagus
• The esophagus takes all the food and crushes
then takes it down to the stomach.
Stomach
When the food is taken down from the
esophagus the food becomes melting from acid
in your stomach then goes to the small intestine
( see slide 7)
Small intestine
• The small intestine is where all your nutrients
of you food is absorbed. When its absorbed it
sends the nutrients to the part of your body
that absorbs that kind of nutrients .
Large intestine
• The large intestine is smaller in length
comparing with the small intestine but bigger
in width. The large intestines job is to make
food into waste and send it out of the body.

What are harmful choices that can
effect my body system
Eating unhealthy food that could cause a
sickness called diabetes ( see next slide for more
info)
Swallowing food that are hard to digest
