Competence based test items
Competence
Is knowledge
– that constitutes an essential compenent for performance or
achievement in a given domain.
Linguistic and reading competence
– How students express they though in new situation and
understand the question asked->performance
Maturity competence
– Self-competence
– Professional competence
– Social competence
PISA competence
Life skills and cross curricular competence
– mathematical
– reading and
– science literacy
Indentifiying scientific questions.
Explaining phenomena scientifically by applying
scientific knowledge.
Using scientific evidence to make and communicate
decicions.
Competencies should be defined by the range of
situations and tasks which have to mastered, and
assessment might be done by confronting the
student with a sample of such situations.
– Knowledge of science
– Knowledge about science
PISA framework
Content knowledge
Is a knowledge of the facts, concepts, ideas and theories
about the natural world that science has established. For
instance, how plants synthesise complex molecules using
light and carbon dioxide or the particulate nature of matter.
Procedural knowledge
Knowledge of the procedures that scientists use to establish
scientific knowledge. This is a knowledge of the practices and
concepts on which empirical enquiry is based such as
repeating measurements to minimise error and reduce
uncertainty, the control of variables, and standard procedures
for representing and communicating data.
Epistemic knowledge
It includes an understanding of the function that questions,
observations, theories, hypotheses, models, and arguments
play in science, a recognition of the variety of forms of
scientific enquiry, and the role peer review plays in
establishing knowledge that can be trusted.

taxonomy
Types of knowledge
Factual Knowledge - The basic elements students
must know to be acquainted with a discipline or
solve problems.
Conceptual Knowledge – The interrelationships
among the basic elements within a larger structure
that enable them to function together.
Procedural Knowledge - How to do something,
methods of inquiry, and criteria for using skills,
algorithms, techniques, and methods.
Metacognitive Knowledge – Knowledge of
cognition in general, as well as awareness and
knowledge of one’s own cognition.

The circular plate is suspended from a vertical wall , and it
can rotate freely around the axis of rotation . The rim is
initially in place. Which direction it starts to rotate when
released? (T)
a. Counterclockwise , because the heaviest machine weights at
greatest gravitational force and therefore the maximum torque .
b CCW as 10 kg . The moment caused by the weights of greater
than 2 kg and 8 kg of the sum of the moments due to the weights .
c . Clockwise , as 8 kg and 2 kg of the sum of the moments due to
the weights greater than 10 kg of torque -induced bob .
d . Clockwise , the 10 kg and 8 kg of the weights balance each other
and thus two kg weight is the amount of torque direction
e . The wheel does not rotate, since both sides of the axis of the
masses are equal.

no extensible luz.
a) A
b) B
salida.
