Romania
Our country is located at the crossroads of
Central and Southeastern Europe, north of the Balkan
Peninsula, on the Lower Danube, within and outside
the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea.
Almost all of the Danube Delta is located within its
territory. Romania shares a border with Hungary and
Serbia to the west, Ukraine and the Republic of
Moldova to the northeast, and Bulgaria to the south..
Transylvania
Is a historical region in the central
part of Romania, bounded on the east and
south by the Carpathian mountain range,
historical Transylvania extended in the
west to the Apuseni Mountains. The term
frequently encompasses not only
Transylvania proper, but also the historical
regions of Crişana, Maramureş and Banat.
Brasov
Brasov, is one of the largest cities in
Romania and the seat of Brasov County, located
in the south-eastern part of the country.
Sacele –
land of the seven villages
It is a smaller town, next to Brasov, of about 30,000
inhabitants. It is unique for its traditions and for the
religiousness of the people, visible in the large number
of existing churches
