–High elevations have cooler
summers and colder winters.
• Summer temperatures – 75 degrees
• Winter temperatures – 26 degrees

• Southern Region- milder climate
–Ocean brings cool breezes in the
summer and warm air in the winter.
–Warmest area in the state
–Cape May• Winter temperatures do not go below

Sterling Hill Mine Tunnel
An old mining tunnel at the Sterling Hill Mining Museum
in New Jersey. This was a zinc mine that operated up into the 1980's.
It was the last underground mine in New Jersey.
