Mustafa Kemal was born in 1881 in Salonica,
Ottoman Empires. His father name was Ali
Rıza Efendi and his mother name was
Zübeyde Hanım. His sister's name was
Makbule. He went to Şemsi Efendi Primary
School. Then he went to Salonica Military
School. He was a hardworking student or
school. He graduated from War Acedemy
with the rank of captain in 1905. Mustafa
Kemal appointed as the commander of
Anafartalar Group and he won the Çanakkale
War. He went to Samsun on 19th May 1919.
Because he started the War of Independence.
He opened the Turkish Grand National
Assembly on 23rd April 1920. TGNA (Turkish
Grand National Assembly) gave him surname
Atatürk. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk saved the
country from invasion of the enemies. He
founded the Republic Of Turaaa. He was
elected the first resident of the Turkish
Rebuplic. He died at 09:05 am on 10th
November 1938 and his grave in Anıtkabir,
Ankara
It’s located in an imposing position in the Anıttepe quarter
of Ankara. The Mausoleum of Kemal Atatürk, founder of the
Turkish Republic, was built between 1944 – 1953 with an
impressive fusion of ancient and modern architectural ideas
and remains unsurpassed as an accomplishment of
modern Turkish architecture. It covers an area of 750.000
square meters. There is a museum housing writings, letters
and items belonging to Atatürk as well as an exhibition of
photographs recording important moments in his life and the
establishment of the Republic. An important exhibition of the
War of Liberation is also open to the public. İsmet İnönü,
comrad in arms of Atatürk and the second president of the
Republic, is also buried in the courtyard facing the
Mausoleum. (Anıtkabir and the museum is open everyday,
except Mondays. During the summer, there is a light and
sound show in the evenings)
There are seven regions in Turkey. These
geogrophical regions were seperated
according to their climate, location,
flora, human, habitat, agricultural
diversities, transportation and so
on..There are 4 side regions and 3 inner
regions in Turkey.

Horon
 It is a traditioanal folk dance in the region .It derives
from Greeks.It is hard to dance but it is very popular in
Turkey.
Marmara
 the Marmara Region has the smallest area, yet the
largest population and thus, it is the most densely
populated region in the country.
 Istanbul is the most popular city in the region.
Central Anatolia Region
Central Anatolia Region lies in the middle of Anatolia
occupying the central plateau. The largest city in the
region is Ankara, the capital of Turkey with a
population of almost 4,5 million.
SEMAZEN
 It is a customary dance performed within worship
ceremony, abandoning personal desires, by listening to
the music, focusing on God, and spinning one's body
in repetitive circles,
Southestern Anatolia Region
 It is bordered by the Mediterranean Region to the
west, the Eastern Anatolia Region to the north, Syria to
the south, and Iraq to the southeast.
 It is famous for traditional food

 It is the most cold region in Turkey.It has less
population than the other parts
Meditarrenian Region
 It has got lots of tourist attractions.It is popular all the
world.In summers many tourists visit there.

Zeybek
 The zeybek is a form of folk dance peculiar to
Western, Central and southern Anatolia in Turkey. It is
named after the Zeybeks.
 All zeybek dances have a common characteristic form,
but the positioning of the arms and body differ
according to the different regions. The rhythm is also
very characteristic, a pattern of nine slow beats: 9/4 =
2+2+2+3 beats or 3+2+2+2 with occasional variations.
