Khaddar (Newer alluvium):

river terraces away from rivers. It contains lumps,

uncertain, uneven and sporadic.

WELL (PRIMITIVE)
COMMON IN NORTHERN PLAINS
ADVANTAGES
Cheapest source of irrigation.
Can be dug at any convenient place.
Independent source of irrigation.

Fail to provide water during the dry summer months
Well can water only 1 to 2 hectares of land.
