The Interoperability
Experimentation, Test and
Validation (IETV)

IETV: Interoperability Experimentation, Testing
and Validation Capability
 The IETV (Interoperability Experimentation, Testing and
Validation) is a capability in support of
 CIS formal validation (as an input to certification),
 Interoperability enhancement and
 Experimentation
for multinational, NATO-led expeditionary
operations.
 NC3B and ACT have sponsored the development
of the IETV capability
 High level of synergy with other programs:
 ACO has funded some process-supporting tools
 Several nations have actively participated as
validation/testing counterparts
IETV: Interoperability Experimentation, Testing
and Validation Capability
How IETV can be used?
The IETV is a distributed
capability (NGCS, CFBLNet).
Aims to reuse existing NATO
and National assets.
1. IETV can be used remotely
trough CFBLNET or NGCS
transmission networks.
2. IETV can deploy to a
national site and also use
NC3A static facilities.
3. IETV can deploy in an
exercise like SFCE, CWID
or CE to support
Interoperability,
Experimentation , Testing
and Validation activities.

 IETV is mainly to support NATO Interoperability
testing campaigns with its deployable CIS test bed,
process and NC3A personnel
 IETV will provide some NATO functional systems
requested at CWIX by ACO and nations.
 IETV will contribute to the CWIX 2010 goals but need
your inputs to provide the right level of support that
you need
 Please contact with me or any member of the
management group during this IPC or later to express
