Highlight of Current Activities Broadband Speed Test
• In order to support government’s policy-making and guarantee rights
and interests of users, CCSA is developing standards on broadband
speed testing standards including access network standards,
interconnection standards and user experience standards. So far,
the following two standards have been finished:
– Test method for connection speed in broadband network – Fixed
broadband access;
– Broadband speed test method – User experience of internet surfing;

Challenges
• Economic downturn affects the
enthusiasm of ICT industry to participate in
standardization activities.
• Coordination among SDOs need to be
enhanced to reduce duplication work.
• The gap still exists between telecom
SDO’s standardization activities and the
needs of IT companies.
