1st Scenario: Conventional tunnel
Feature: Conventional closed section
 BBU in station equipment room
and RRU in tunnel to cover 1.2
km.
 If distance is longer than 1.2 km,
a site will be deployed inside the
tunnel.
2nd Scenario: Tunnel portal
Feature: Multiple railways in a
tunnel
 Cell coverage is extended to
U-Groove then handed over
to the next cell in order to
avoid service interruption.
5
3rd Scenario: U-Groove
Feature: No handover between
tunnels
 Panel antenna and leaky
fibers share RRU, U-Groove
coverage is provided by
panel antenna at tunnel
portal to avoid handover.
