Current Status
• Running in Production at NSLC Detachment
Pacific since late March ’03
• Stable – Infrequent minor problems have been
dealt with quickly
• Reliable – Site off-line briefly (< 10 minutes each
occurrence) 2 times in last 6 months
• Secure – Strictly follows current Navy security
requirements regarding access

Security Requirements
• Must use secure shell (HTTPS://) access
• Must be completely behind a Firewall filtered by
IP address
• No Commercial (AOL, Earthlink, MSN, etc.)
network access allowed
• Equipment in secure, restricted access facility
• Only individual, password protected accounts
allowed

Account Request Procedures
• User – Name, e-mail address, IP address (given at
http://www.nic.mil) NOTE: NMCI ‘Seats’ are able to
access the TMDE website without addition IP clearance
• Sponsor – Short Mission / Need Statement
• Site – Network Administrators Name, E-mail address,
Phone Number
• Non-Military Sites – Complete Firewall configuration

• 621 original accounts
• Of these, 77 have requested access to
https://tmde.cdmd.navy.mil
• 109 new account requests
• 111 cleared through the system and have
logged in
• 42 cleared but haven’t logged in
• 33 pending Firewall clearance
