Quality of Service
Definition of QoS
There is no unique formal definition
RFC 2386:
„A set of service requirements to be met by the network while transporting a flow“
IEEE:
The set of those quantitative and qualitative characteristics of a distributed
multimedia system, which are necessary in order to achieve the required
functionality of an application.
NEC’s Definition: -
Accurately predicting the behavior of a data network.

It Is Important To Be There….
But it is also important how you get there:
• Utilising integrated IP telephony products
• Embracing migration and investment
protection, not replacement and obsolescence.
And…
“Without Compromising the User Experience”
