 Initiated as informal hostmaster session
 For policy review, training, networking (1999)
 Became gradually more structured
 Wider issues, agendas, and reports (2000)
 Chaired by Seung-Min Lee, KRNIC
 Now held as open sessions
 Since proposed and agreed in KL (3/2001)

 Review, negotiate and resolve requests
 Maintain whois and reverse DNS
 Coordinate local policy process
 i.e. Same as APNIC’s role
 Support and service for LIRs in country
 Local language and knowledge
 i.e. Opportunity to improve APNIC’s service
and efficiency, to do a better job
