through Canada, and sails
to the Great Lakes.
• No trade route is found,
but they would attempt
settlement in the 1540s.
Francis Drake- English Explorer
• Took 3 years and successfully circumnavigated
the globe.
• In 1588 helps defeat the Spanish Armada as it
attacks the English Navy.
