Physical Features of Rome
• We will be looking at the physical features of Rome and you will be
researching what the significance these features had.
How Roman Society Shaped
Modern Civilization

You might not know it, but there were some inventions that the Romans came up
with, which are used in modern society. These will be explored and discussed what
significance they have today.
Plebians
•
The different social classes in Rome
will be looked at. The plebians were
the lower class citizens, we will be
identifying their role in society.
Patricians
•
The different social classes in Rome
will be looked at. The patricians were
the middle and upper class citizens,
we will be identifying their role in
society.
Women
•
In today’s society, everyone
has an equal say in how things
are run. Women however,
didn’t have as much power as
men did. We will explore what
role they had.
Slaves
•
All work, no play and no money? No
way! Sadly that was the lifestyle of
the slaves. Slaves were commonly
owned by upper class families and
were made to do the dirty work
around the house if women had a
job.
Build Rome in a day
•
Rome wasn’t built in a day. This week you are going to prove countless
historians wrong. After weeks of learning about different classes of people
and the physical features of Rome, you are going to build Rome in a
lesson. To demonstrate your understanding of how important buildings and
the surrounding physical features are.
