– He also conducted the first

– Back at home he reformed the
Roman society and government.

• Who was he:
– First Emperor of Rome
• When did he live:
– Born: September 23, 63 B.C.
– Died: August 19, 14 AD
• Why he was important:
– He restored peace after 100
years of civil war.
– He maintained an honest
government and extended the
road system connecting Rome
with its empire.
Nero
• Who was he:
– An emperor of Rome
• When did he live:
– Born: December 15, 37 AD
– Died: June 9, 68 AD
• Why he was important:
– Gained popularity of the lower
classes by building theaters
and supporting entertainment.
