Medication on Campus
• All approved student medications shall be
kept in the health room with the exception of
emergency medications which the student’s
physician feels necessary for the student to
self-administer if needed.
• It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian
to ensure that the student’s medications are
delivered to the school nurse in a pharmacy
or physician labeled, child-proof container.

• Building principals may allow students in accordance
with policy 237 to use their personal electronic devices

• Electronic devices are subject to the following restrictions:
•
Electronic devices may not be used to conduct any activities which violate state and/or federal
law, board policy or school rules.
•
Electronic devices may not be used in any manner which interferes with, or is disruptive to,
educational or extracurricular activities or events.
•
Taking photos or recording videos is strictly prohibited.
•
Students will not use their electronic devices to make voice and/or video phone calls. With
permission from the teacher or administrator, any student needing to make a phone call may
use the main office telephone.
•
Students will not use their electronic devices for taking, storing, disseminating, transferring,
viewing, or sharing of obscene, pornographic, lewd, or otherwise illegal images or
photographs, whether by electronic data transfer or other means, including but not limited to
texting and e-mailing.
•
Students shall not use social media during school hours as a means of targeting, harassing,
bullying or any other form that may cause another student to feel threatened or
uncomfortable.
S.P.I.R.I.T Program
• Student Problem Identification and Resolution of
Issues together, otherwise known as SPIRIT.
• This is exciting leadership opportunity to
collaborate with fellow classmates on
issues/concerns involving our school or
community and then discuss ways to resolve
these issues/concerns.

First Day of School
• Students begin school on Monday, August 31st
• Students may come into school and go right to their homerooms
(homeroom lists are on all bulletin boards through the school)
• An administrator will call for all students to be in their homeroom by 7:10
a.m.
• In homeroom students will receive:
• Student schedule
• Locker information
• Agenda books
• Various forms/packets of information pertaining to our school
• All 9th grade homerooms will be called to the auditorium to hear about our
campus from the administrative team, teachers, and the guidance staff.
• All 10th grade homerooms will be called to the auditorium to hear similar
topics.
• Once presentations are over, all students will report to their classes on a
modified schedule.
