Why the e-MedStick
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Any accident or medical emergency is impossible to predict and can occur in a
split second. Each of us are at risk – even in our own homes. Many people may
have medical conditions endangering their life in an emergency – cardiac,
diabetes, allergies, etc. First responders would have access to know such
conditions even if the injured could not speak.
Data is immediately available to those treating the patient and at the
injury/accident site.
Immediate availability as to blood type, name, address, telephone, age, weight,
present medications and any allergies, past medical and surgical histories,
present health care providers and their contacts plus emergency contacts.
Having medical records available provides peace of mind eliminating stress
and possible medical complications
Quicker treatments – easy access to medical records
The use of the e-MedStick can easily be utilized to the benefit of the provider
and the patient even if the provider does not have computerization.
The Economic Burden of Chronic Disease in the USA - Over 162 million cases
of seven common chronic diseases — cancers, diabetes, heart disease,
hypertension, stroke, mental disorders, and pulmonary conditions were
reported in The United States in 2003. The e-MedStick can have a substantial
positive impact on these. (Miliken Institute)
Of 3 million prescriptions in the USA 2003 51.5% contain some error (Journal of
American Pharmacies 2003) The e-MedStick can reduce this.

Marketing
Brief summary of product promotional ideas
under development:
•
•
•
•
•
•
An audio (In different languages)
Interviews with users
A video for use on TV and for presentations
A series of telseminars and webinars
A 60 second to two minute motivational summary (Phone)
Specific presentations of the above for each of the markets (as
needed)
- Hospitals and Clinics/Group Practices - presentations
- Ministers of Health for specific countries - presentations
For the most part these are expected to take the form of webinars at
least in the beginning. Prospects will be able to join a presentation
via the Internet – these will be publicized by state and country
Marketing (Cont’d)
• USA Market Statistics: (2006/2007)
- 996,000 physicians – less than 18% have any
computers in their practice – of these less than
5% have any electronic medical records
Hospitals – of the 6,800+ only 38% have
computer systems
----------------------------------- Foreign health care providers – Similar to USA
-----------------------------------
Competition
• There are several companies who profess to be marketing similar
products – but after a closer look they really do not have the
experienced staff, the hardware/software is not designed to fit the
needs, their pricing is not correct for the market (based on our
analysis), and they do not have multiple languages – which is an
important key to this being universal and international.
• Competition for the most part is located in the USA and they are
focusing only on the USA markets.
• The consumer is going to be the one which drives the markets
rather than the healthcare provider or the company making the
device.
Pricing
•
•
•
•
Based upon our research, our annual subscription price is $59.95.
Following the first year the subsequent years could be reduced to
$39.95.
Introduction of our advanced product, the Ultra e-MedStick, the price
of $100 is acceptable. The Ultra e-MedStick holds additional medical
information including x-rays, scans, charts, detailed physician notes,
etc.
Pricing for both models will allow for free information updates.
