Happy Go Lucky
• An 8 year-old diagnosed with depression, ADHD
and learning disabilities was brought to a
chiropractic office by his mother, who reported his
medications appeared to be ineffective. Subluxation
based chiropractic was given over an 8 month
period and as a result, improvement was noted in all
areas by his parents and school teachers.

• A 15 year-old girl diagnosed with concussion after
being hit on the head with the trunk of a van
experienced constant pain, headache and difficulty
concentrating.

NFL (No Fun Lesions?)
• More than 3,000 former NFL players are suing the
league for not properly educating them about the
risk of brain injury.

Play Till it Hurts
• Over one fifth of emergency room visits from
children age 5-24 are due to sports injuries.

Function Right
• The body’s inability to function
normally due to altered sensory
input may be caused by
subluxation.

Dry Your Eyes
• A 10 year-old boy with bedwetting presented to a

Irritability
• Irritable bowel syndrome appears to be due to a
miscommunication between the brain, the gut and
the microbiota.

Lots of IBS
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome affects between 5%-20%
of individuals worldwide.

Smart Stomach
• Gut function and behavior, and health, are linked by
the nervous system.

Three Brains
• There are those that say we have 3 brains; one in
your head, a heart brain and a gut brain.

Feed Your Brain with Probiotics
• Like the spinal cord, the
gut holds up to 600 million
neurons and can operate
independently of the brain
and modulates immune
activity.

Adjust Your Supplements
• You can put all the supplements you want into a
subluxated body, but if the communication is
disrupted they won’t have much impact.

T4 and After
• A 64 year-old woman presented with T4 Syndrome
– bilateral paresthesia, upper back pain and
numbness in the hands – to a chiropractor’s office.
• Chiropractic adjustments to reduce vertebral
subluxations were applied and by the 5th visit the
patient reported complete resolution of symptoms.

Chiropractic Knows No Age
• In a one year study with a
Medicare population,
chiropractic proved to be
significantly protective against
one year decline in activities of
daily living, stooping, walking,
self-rated health and worsening
health.

Stressed Kids =
More Stressed Adult
• Adverse stress early in
life can lead to long term
hyper-response to stress
later in life.

later health outcomes. Frontiers in Endocrinology 2014, Vol. 5, Article 73.
Windows to the Soul
• The precision with which people can make
decisions can be predicted by measuring pupil size
before they are presented with any information
about the decision.

strongly regulated by environmental
factors than was initially known.

Socially Painful
• Back pain all too often disrupts peoples’ social
identities and relationships, leading to withdrawal
from normal social life and relative isolation.

Handle with Care
• A study presented at the 2014 Annual Meeting of
the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in
New Orleans suggested that spinal fusion for
degenerative disc disease does not appear to
adequately reduce symptoms or subsequent
spending on spine care. The results were dismal.
