PROJECTS
The study of information needs of patients,
pharmacists and doctors in Russia
Background: One of the elements of Good Pharmacy Practice is the doctor-patientpharmacist cooperation. To ensure that this relationship was of high quality and
contributed to improving the quality of patient care, it is important to understand
what patients want to know about pharmacotherapy. It is also important to
identify the information needs of physicians and pharmacists to improve the
quality of patient consultations.
Aim: to analise the information needs of patients, pharmacists and doctors in Russia
During the study we collected 303 questionnaires from pharmacists, 160 from patients
and 113 questionnaires from doctors. We hope that this project will help to raise
the qualification of pharmacists and will lead to better understanding between
doctors, pharmacists and patients in order to implement the concept of
pharmaceutical care and Good Pharmacy Practice standards in Russia.
