ASOS has the latest advanced communication technology that makes there business successful. Not only does
the technology make the business seem professional but it makes it easier for customers to contact them. The
images on the website are magnified, colourful and vibrant. This makes the website both eye catching and
Attractive.
The logo is bold and one
colour. Readers can see

before they scroll down.

their communication methods.

online. this makes this way cost effective, and is

A newsletter is both informative and updated so customers know what's happening. This also costefficient and enables business to interact with clients. The Badger’s menswear website does not have
Newsletters unlike ASOS, so there is reduced communication with customers.
The ASOS website have newsletters. The benefits
of newsletters are that a newsletter provides a
higher response rate. A newsletter enhances
your companies reputation, making it seem
professional, ‘word of mouth’

with customers. Targeting customers couldn’t

Blogs are great when it comes to advertising a business, getting to reassure customers your business is
reliable. ASOS blog is great a customers can send comments as well as the business can send updates. Blogs
are easily accessed , easy to create, blogs give unlimited space and are friendly and interactive.

BADGER’s Men’s Fashion (BM)
Badgers men’s fashion(BM) are less advanced when it comes to technology such as
communication, unlike ASOS. The website is vibrant, clear and attractive similarly to
the ASOS website

Magazines are a great way of advertising a business, the benefits of this are huge, see below;

online magazine, this magazine takes
up most of the page. Although the
magazine may seem well presented
the magazine is not very great.

you are able to look at recent sales and offers as
well as discounts. You are unable to click on the
clothes or images to check price and other
details compared with ASOS
Telephone communication
Using telephones to communicate is an excellent way of communicating with customers as it is interactive,
compared with ASOS, this is one of the advantages with BM. Customers receive better service, it is a quick
and easy way of sending messages. You are able to speak longer on a telephone and calls can be international.
The writing is not bold, especially
the telephone number. It was
supposed to stand out so readers
can see it .
The disadvantages of telephones are that it is not always
quick or efficient .BM have the contact details such as the
telephone number at the very end of the magazine, making it
hard for customers to navigate their way through the
website.
Sending messages
Messages are discreet, convenient and popular. Sending e-mail messages is informal and conversational,
customers are able to feel they are able to trust this service. E-mailing is quick unlike other forms of
communication medium. E-mailing is reliable and secure, so other people are unable to read any of the
comments made by customers. BM similarly uses e-mailing like ASOS for the reasons above.
The downfall on this is that the contact
detail and e-mailing information is at the
very end of the magazine making it difficult
to find. On the upside the BM website gives
the name and e-mail address so people can
receive a message on their e-mail address.
The is enough space to send a long
message, it easy, quick and direct.
Ordering details
One of the most appalling thing about the BM business is that they do not give customers the any ordering
services. Customers would have to travel their to get their product, so it is a self service.
Although they have the telephone
numbers as well as e-mail
addresses, customers are unable to
order , customers would have to
travel there and buy the product
There are many branches, but only
across Oxford, so customers will find it
difficult to travel their and buy the
product. This is an example of negative
communication.
Comparison
Both BM and ASOS are developing business, however in my opinion I believe ASOS is a more
successful business in terms of communication. ASOS’s latest technology in communication enable
customers to receive the best service. Communication can be improved in BM, they can improve their
website, and have links to their clients. They can improve their communication through e-mails and
have post services, they should improve their online magazine.
These new improvements can help BM become a popular business as well as a successful business.
