What is family?
In a group of two or three, come up with
one or two words that describe what a
family is.
Then, draw a picture of what family is.
Post it on the door.
How is family formally described?
A group of two or more persons related by
birth, marriage or adoption residing
together in a household
Types of families

– Mom, Dad, kids
• Cohabitation
– Living together, NOT
married
• Couple with no

– Parents, kids,
