function is to convey a message to one or more people.
• Verbal communication can be used:

In combination with non verbal forms of communication,
verbal communication is the primary means to express
our ideas among people.

message
expressed
without
words

The senders:

They manage to communicate 70%
The receivers receive 50%
They understand 20%

The canals of communication
Communication researchers state that only 7% of a message is
carried by words.
Listeners receive the other 93% through non-verbal means.
Spoken words account for no more than 30-35% of all our social
interactions.
