Certificate of Achievement
A certificate of achievement is issued upon the completion of program standards based on
Occupational Completion Points (OCP).
Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion is issued to Program Completers who obtain all Occupational
Completion Points (OCP) and pass the Basic skills requirements for the program.

An Adobe Certified Associate credential certifies individuals have the entry-level skills to

Introduction to Computers (150 hrs.)
Prerequisite for all programs
• This introductory course will train students in the basic skills required to
operate a personal computer.
• This course provides introduction to users and newcomers to the new
technological world we live in today.
• The course includes Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office applications,
and Keyboarding.
• Since this is an introductory course, no computer skills are needed prior to
admission.

Digital Imaging Fundamentals (150 hrs.)
This course can be taken after successful completion of Introduction to Computers

The student have successfully passed a computer skill or competency test.
•
This course provides the student with the knowledge of presentation production issues
by identifying characteristics of various types of presentations.

Identifying presentation materials and marketing mediums are integral part of the
curriculum.

Identification of design characteristics, which are suited for each type of presentation
and their proper application in using presentation software and equipment conform an
important part of this course.

The course also provides understanding of file formats and knowledge of image size
when scanning and saving files for use in different presentation types and more.

Video and Sound Fundamentals (150 hrs.)
This course can be taken after New Media I or concurrently with it

This course is intended to demonstrate proficiency in using presentation
software and equipment to create a multimedia presentation that incorporates
shot and edited video, animation , music, narration and adheres to good
design principles, use of transitions, and effective message conveyance.
•
Demonstrate knowledge of roles and responsibilities of a multimedia
production team to collaborate in the planning, editing, and evaluating in the
multimedia presentation.
•
This course also provides knowledge of video and sound editing vocabulary,
term, and acronyms, and more.

New Media III
Web Design Fundamentals (150 hrs.)

After Successful completion of New Media III students will have met (OCP) –
Data Code D, Web Production/Design Assistant Certificate.

This course is intended to demonstrate proficiency in using presentation
software and equipment as well as proficiency in Web page design applicable
to the WWW.
•
It is also intended to demonstrate proficiency in using SYSIWYG editor, web
design or web animation software for web page design.
•
Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency with file management and
structure and demonstrate working knowledge of standard file formats.

Students will be equipped with knowledge to evaluate and select appropriate
software packages to complete assigned tasks, and much more.
