Yearly
System configuration
• Hardware:
– More than one PC for
database server or client
remote work
• Software:
– Window system with browser
like IE, Firefox, etc.
– MySQL database
Heuristic evaluation
• Affordances, mappings &
Constraints
– Nice.
– No sub pages for links so no color
change.
– Maybe give feedback on what
exactly is entered into database
after it’s inserted
• Language
– Fairly simple and easy to
understand
– Easy but don’t see any place to
get help
Heuristic evaluation (Cont.)
• Layout
– Functional but not very
appealing
– Fairly technical look
• Color
– Good color matching
Auburn scheme
– Consider adding more
graphical images into pages
to be more attractive
Heuristic evaluation (Cont.)
• Tone & Etiquette
– The tone is fairly technical.
Feels like you know what you
do
– Straight forward tome
appropriate for this
application
• Special consideration
– Seems to be fairly standard
Usability test
• Not done yet.
