for each part):
 Talk
with two of your close friends. Ask about their
perceptions of you now. Ask how it compares to their
perceptions when you two first met.
 We will compare these responses to the responses from
your classmates (to understand the role of relational
history, relational uniqueness, and relational rules)
 Part 2 (#1b) will be completed in class

you. How do you perceive them?

Application Exercise #2 (Worth 10 points): Draw
out a profile for Dr. G’s Class Social Networking
Site. After creating your profile, answer these
questions:
 What
image were you trying to create?
 How did you want others to perceive you?
 As a class, we’ll discuss if it worked (how did we
perceive the profiles and did it impact how we would
communicate with you)
