• But this is not about letting communication
direct your research
• It should enhance your research
– Adding additional questions
– Using additional methodologies
• Convincing academics and business are
very different things

• The two can work together
– When I speak – hand out questionnaire
– When I write an article – include weblink
– When I collect data – I look for potential endusers
