I learned that the Eastern
Zhou Dynasty was a ruler
from 770 B.C. to 256 B.C
. for 551 years. Zhou
Wuwang established the
Zhou Dynasty and made
Haojing (the present
Chang'an County, Shaanxi
Province) its capital.


I learned that the Zhou
began as a seminomadic tribe that lived
west of the Shang
kingdom, soon the
eastern Zhou became
stronger than the Shang
and defeated them in
about 1040 B.C.



