QIN LIANGYU BY JANITH SEPA MR.SHAW 5TH GRADE HISTORICAL MUSEUM TABLE OF CONTENTS • If she was the only woman general in the list of generals • What dynasty she fought in • What was her troop that she was a general for • When was she born • How she died • Who was her husband • What was her “title” • Compare and Contrast • Why I chose her for Historical Museum IF SHE WAS THE ONLY WOMAN IN THE LIST OF GENERALS • Yes, she was the only woman general in the list of generals of China because if you think about Hua Mulan she was only a soldier who fought in place for her father.Qin Liangyu’s father taught her because she had older brothers that were being teached martial arts and other subjects. She was the only woman general because she wanted to be a general. WHAT DYNASTY SHE FOUGHT IN • The dynasty Qin fought in was the Ming dynasty because she was born during the Ming dynasty. A dynasty is a line of heredity of rulers during a century. WHAT WAS THE TROOP SHE WAS GENERAL FOR • The troop she was general for was the White Stick Troop. She wasn’t really a general for the troop, but not really a soldier either. She was a general with her husband. She told her husband that he has to forbid the troop to drink and they always has to stay alert for enemies. WHEN SHE WAS BORN • Qin Liangyu was born in 1574.How I think of it is that it’s a long time ago, but my point of view is that its not that much of a time ago. It might be 440 years ago, but that’s not that far away in my point of view. HOW SHE DIED • A few days before leading her army through a war, she died in her tent. She was 74 years old. WHO WAS HER HUSBAND • Qin married a man named Ma Qianching. He was also an army general. So it was probably a military marriage. They both fought together during wars. a Qianching was a commander from Shizu, southwest China’s Municipality. WHAT WAS HER TITLE • Qin Liangyu’s title was “Loyal Marquis". She got her title by protecting the country of China with her army and for her contributions. COMPARE AND CONTRAST QIN AND NORMAL WOMEN Comparison • They are all the same gender • They can have the same talents • Now, there are women generals in the 21 century Contrast • She was the only woman general in the history of China • She had more talents than other women • Back then she was the only woman to learn martial arts and other things that generals needed to learn about for wars. WHY I CHOSE QIN LIANGYU FOR HISTORICAL MUSEUM • I chose Qin because martial arts and armies satisfy me. Since Qin is a woman general, maybe I wanted her for my report. I also like the countries of Asia. Since I love foreign countries, I picked somebody from a foreign country.
