WHERE WAS THE SUI DYNASTY LOCATED?
The Sui Dynasty was located in central China
WHO WERE THE LEADERS OF THIS DYNASTY?
The first leader of the
Sui Dynasty was Yang
Jian. He was also a
military servant. He
was possibly murdered
by his son.
The next ruler was Yang
Jian’s son Sui Yangdi.
Since a dynasty is a
empire ruled by the
same family.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE SUI DYNASTY
The Sui Dynasty did a
couple great things the
first is that they built the
first Grand Canal, a
waterway for shipping
grain and other products.
It stretched almost 1,200
miles, from Hangzhou to
Luoyang near Beijing.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE SUI DYNASTY
The second accomplishment of the Sui Dynasty
was that they repaired the Great Wall of China.
WHAT LED TO THIS DYNASTY’S DOWNFALL?
The downfall of this dynasty began when the
Sui army was defeated by the Koreans in A.D.
612. This defeat sparked a rebellion and got
Sui Yangdi assassinated in A.D. 618.
INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE SUI DYNASTY
Yangdi failed to conquer Korea and
Manchurian.
Army generals killed Yangdi.
