Any Type of Support Group
- over 4,500 local NJ groups,
- over 1,100 national, model,
and online groups, and
- an average 100 individuals
wanting to start new groups
at any one time.
What We Do
• Help 10,000 callers a year find groups.
• Help thousands of more people by:
- annually publishing hard-copy Directory
- providing partial online databases.
• Helped over a thousand individuals to start
new support groups in NJ in last 24 years.
How We Do It
• Toll-free Helpline 1-800-FOR-M.A.S.H.
(Mutual Aid Self-Help)
• 5 full-time Staff & 18 part-time Volunteers.
• printed Directories.
• Database runs on DOS, written in dBase.
• Partial Online Databases – N.J & national each separately maintained.
