Today’s Latino Youth:
• Youngest and fastest growing population in the United States
• Latino population under the age of 14 grew by 3.2 million people
between 2000 - 2008
• 22.4% of all children in the United States under the age of 14 are Latino
• Compared to the general population, we see:
• Higher levels of poverty
• Lower graduation rates
• Higher unemployment rates
