Recorded Document Access
• The AIMS recorded documents access was
developed as supplement for searching the
Johnson County land records index (also known
as DTS) provided by the RTA office.
• The document access provides a map based
search mechanism as an alternative to the other
search mechanisms provided by DTS.
• The system uses the same database as DTS and
document access should be identical between the
two systems.
• IMS
• JCLR
Advantages
1. The ability to search documents
interactively based on a graphic map
representation
2. A rapid search by property id.
How it works
• Single SQL Server stored procedure that
accepts a propid.
• That magic stored procedure…
– gathers the intelligent pieces of the parcel id
– queries for other attributes of that parcel, e.g.
plat
– calls about 5 other stored procedures to
establish relationship data for each record
regarding names, legals, marginals, etc.
– may do hundreds of queries during a single
execution
Caveats
• Approximately 20% of parcels don’t meet a standard
naming convention.
