In the lungs, oxygen is being picked
up and carbon dioxide is being
dropped off.
Gas exchange is the exact opposite
in the cells of the rest of the
body; oxygen gets dropped off
and CO2 gets picked up.

Blood will be able to go backwards in
the heart (for example, some blood

atrium). The result will be that the
