me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 23:5 You
prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.

•
You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.'
But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the
right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you
and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you

not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
