Throughout year 1 your child will be
working on their letter and number
formation. Please encourage this at home
too!

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR CHILD AT HOME
• Counting with them in every day contexts e.g. counting number of silver cars down the
street.
• Hearing them read atleast 3 times a week and practising their words/and or sounds.
• Ensure they get to bed on time.
• Practising their number and letter formations with them at home.
• Please make sure that your child arrives at school on time - 8.55am.
