What is SmartSound?






Subscription-based online music library
Purchased for CCPS staff and students
Provides thousands of royalty-free music tracks that can
be downloaded
Permission to edit in any audio editor or application that
is available to CCPS staff and students
Can edit tracks online using QuickTracks
Students and staff can access from CCPS or from home
to work on school-based projects
Uses of SmartSound
 Use
in multimedia projects as
background music
 Use in podcasts as background
music
 Add sound effects to projects
SmartSound Restrictions
 Only for CCPS use – not for personal projects
 Only for background music or to add sound
effects to projects – not for listening as stand
alone music
 May not copy tracks and distribute to others
 May not add or ‘purchase’ additional items
from SmartSound using CCPS login


misuse

Broadcast lengths
Download a track
Save As to a location of your choice
Import into multimedia project
