Biomolecules - $100
The element that is found in all
organic compounds.
Biomolecules- $200
Consists of C, H, and O. Can be
saturated, unsaturated, or
polyunsaturated.
Biomolecules- $300
Consists of C, H, and O.
Examples are glucose, galactose,
fructose, starch, cellulose, and
glycogen
Biomolecules- $400
Large complex molecules made
of C, H, O, N, and P. Where
genetic information is stored.
Biomolecules- $500
Composed of C, H, O, and N.
Consists of an amino and a
carboxyl group. Made up of
amino acids. Some are structural
others are functional.
The Cell- $100
The control center of the cell.
Contains the cell’s DNA.
The Cell- $200
The outer layer that surrounds
plant cells. Made of long chains
of cellulose that makes the cell
rigid and protects it from harm.
The Cell- $300
Where protein synthesis
occurs and unlike most
organelles most are not
surrounded by membranes.
The Cell- $400
A fluid filled organelle that
stores enzymes and waste.
The Cell- $500
A semi-permeable organelle that
acts as a fluid-mosaic model
controlling the movement of
substances into and out of the
cell.
Energy - $100
This organelle is the site of
chemical reactions that transfer
energy from organic compounds
into ATP.
Energy - $200
Reactants
Products
Energy - $300
An organic catalyst that controls
the rate of chemical reactions
within the cell. Without these
proteins many of the chemical
reactions that occur in living
things would not occur.
Energy - $400
A chemical reaction that releases
energy. An output of energy.
Energy - $500
The minimum amount of energy
that colliding molecules must
possess in order to react.
R and P- $100
This organelle is where
photosynthesis occurs in plant
cells.
R and P- $200
These 2 terms represent
organisms that produce their
own food and organisms that
cannot produce their own food.
(in order)
R and P- $300
These are the reactants of
photosynthesis.
R and P- $400
These are the products of
photosynthesis.
R and P- $500
The process where glucose and
other food molecules are broken
down in the presence of oxygen
to release energy, carbon
dioxide, and water .
This and That- $100
Two main types of eukaryotic
cells. One contains a cell wall,
chloroplasts, and a large
vacuole; the other is located in
organisms from the Kingdom
Animalia.
This and That- $200
From simplest to most complex
fill in the blanks: atom,
molecule, cell, _______,
________, _________, and
__________.
This and That- $300
This jelly-like material is
located between the cell
membrane and the nucleus.
This and That- $400
The plasma membrane is this
term, it allows some materials to
pass through where others
cannot.
This and That- $500
The ability of a living thing to
maintain the constant internal
environment needed to function
and survive.
