Greek Gods
• Greeks believed that the Gods lived on Mt. Olympus, the
highest point in Greece and from there controlled nature
that was based on their moods.
• They were not thought to be all powerful, they are shown
as and mostly act like humans with special powers.
• They held festivals to honor specific gods. A festival
dedicated to Zeus was the Olympics.
• They believed in an afterlife that was located beneath the
Earth in Hades.
