Vision Driving this Project
"No child with impaired hearing shall grow
up untreated because his or her parents
are ignorant or are not able to bear the
cost of diagnosis and treatment”
Story behind the Project
Once there was a kid “Narada” who had normal hearing up to age two, lost his hearing
and was pronounced to be profoundly deaf.
It was his fortune as he had educated parents & and a committed Grand Mother he
was introduced to Auditory Verbal Therapy. There after Narada was admitted to the
national stream of the education in the country and today after 18 years He in Canada
furthering his studies
Narada’s Grand mothers commitment did not end there but she return to Sri Lanka
and started treating hearing impaired kids with her experience & knowledge
unfortunately they lack the resources of a fully equipped Audiology center in order to
help the hundreds of kid who need this today
Our only aim is to train children through Auditory Verbal Therapy by having an
Audiology Center for them with all facilities so that we can rehabilitate our Deaf &
Hard of Hearing kids who are studying not only in our Early Intervention Pre School
but to any in the country

Sign Language is the main medium of educating the deaf in Sri Lanka
•
Early efforts in teaching deaf kids to listen and learn language makes
them normal productive citizens.

Narada Savana (Hear) Foundation (NHF) uses A.V.T. in rehabilitating
kids with hearing impairments
•
However the foundation is lacking the much needed resources to
attend to the demand
•
Founder Member of the said foundation is using her garage presently
for treating these kids
•
This is were CRT 1 embarks on supporting the foundation by
providing them an audiology center

2002, a land has been donated by Doctor Lionel Jayasekera and his wife,
to establish an audiology center,

• 40 children have been trained
• 5 children have been integrated to regular primary schools
• At present, 20 children are being trained
• Larger number is deprived due to lack of space and facilities

Moreover this project is the first ever Project in Sri Lanka to be received
a Round Table International Presidents award of Euro 2500

Commitment of CRT 1
• Project Monitoring and coordination/ reporting will be done by CRT 1
• CRT 1 will represent and act as a foundation member
• We are at currently selling tickets to as a fund raiser
• Plans Media campaign to cerate National level awareness
• Plan to have a charity show by Ms. Karoshi Vijesekara ( Opera)
• Will be seeking the support of the Austrian fellow Tablers at their AGM
• TO Ensure the funding to finish the Audiology center
• Solicit your support in this meritorious effort
Recondition for heard work
The Association and all fellow tablers (Austria RT, Euro 1) assisting
the project will get extensive media coverage
We hope to create awareness for this project since it’s a national
concern of our country
CRT1 will sign an agreement for exclusive rights before committing
the funds.
CRT1 has been already invited to officially represent the foundation’s
Executive committee
We plan a hording with all supporters names at the site
Finally the merits of this project will bless us all
